IGNOU Announces Recruitment for 14 Positions, Applications Open from October 3

New Delhi, October 2 (Daily Kiran) : The Indira Gandhi National Open University (IGNOU) has opened a significant opportunity for job seekers. The university has announced vacancies for various non-teaching positions through an official notification.

A total of 14 positions are available, including two Assistant Director roles, four Technical Manager roles, and eight Technical Assistant roles. The Technical Assistant positions are further divided into specific areas: two for Learning Management Systems (LMS), two for Networking, one for Animator, one for Game Designer, one for Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Application Development, and one for Artificial Intelligence. Similarly, the Technical Manager roles include one each for LMS, Networking, Virtual Reality/Augmented Reality Application Development, and Artificial Intelligence.

The online application process will commence on October 3 and will close on November 2. Interested candidates can submit their applications on the official IGNOU website once the application link is activated.

After successfully applying online, candidates must send a hard copy of their application form along with all relevant documents to the Recruitment Cell at Room No. 13, Block No. 7, Indira Gandhi National Open University, Maidan Garhi, New Delhi – 110068 by post by November 12.

Applicants must hold a degree in BE (CS/IT), B.Tech (CS/IT), MSc (CS/IT), or MCA with at least 55% marks from a recognized institution or university. Additionally, candidates should have 3 to 10 years of relevant experience, depending on the position.

The upper age limit is set at 48 years for Assistant Directors, 42 years for Technical Managers, and 37 years for Technical Assistants, calculated as of the application deadline. Relaxation in the upper age limit will be provided according to government regulations for reserved category candidates.

Selection will be based on a computer-based test (CBT), written exam, skill test, and interview. Selected candidates will receive a monthly salary ranging from ₹9,300 to ₹39,100, along with a grade pay between ₹4,800 and ₹5,400, and additional benefits.

Candidates must pay the application fee online during the application process, which is ₹1,000 for unreserved/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and ₹500 for SC/ST/PWD/ex-servicemen/women.
