Unique Wedding Ceremony Follows Police Raid on Jharkhand Hotels

Garhwa, April 8: A remarkable incident unfolded in Garhwa, Jharkhand, following a police raid on several hotels suspected of operating a sex racket. During the operation, four couples detained by the police decided to get married in the presence of law enforcement and their families.

One couple even exchanged garlands on the street, a moment that quickly went viral on social media. Authorities had received tips about illegal activities occurring in hotels like Tiwari Inn, SNC, and RDS.

Acting on this information, police conducted surprise raids on Monday. They detained over a dozen young men and women, along with hotel operators. After questioning, legal action was initiated against the hotel managers, with some being sent to judicial custody.

Among the detained couples, several claimed they were adults in consensual relationships and were planning to marry soon. The police verified their claims by calling in their families. Following family consent, one couple married immediately, while three others signed a written bond to formalize their intent to wed, after which they were released.

In response to the illegal activities, the police sealed the hotels SNC, RDS, and Tiwari Inn for violating regulations. Law enforcement officials stated that the campaign against immoral trafficking and illegal activities in the city would continue, and a thorough investigation into the matter is ongoing.
