Unique Initiative in Prayagraj Promotes Environmental Awareness Through Body Art

Prayagraj, June 5: While the entire nation celebrates Environment Day by planting trees and engaging in various activities, one individual in Prayagraj is raising awareness in a unique way. This person is roaming the streets with environmental slogans written on his body and carrying plants to promote the cause.

On the occasion of World Environment Day, Rajendra Kumar Tiwari, also known as Dukan Ji, is making a notable effort in the Daraganj area. He is encouraging residents to plant trees through his distinctive appearance and slogans as he walks through the streets of Prayagraj. Not only is he spreading the message, but locals are also joining him in his journey, advocating for tree planting and their protection.

He urges people to plant a tree for life, emphasizing that in the future, they won’t need to search for oxygen. He also advises that trees should be cared for like children. His journey is being witnessed at various locations in the city on this significant day.

In an interview, Rajendra Tiwari stated, “I have set out to request people to plant at least one tree to preserve our environment. The way our land is becoming barren and the exploitation of nature continues, we must stop. Otherwise, we won’t be able to provide clean air for future generations.”

He suggested that instead of giving bouquets at weddings or events, people should consider gifting a tree. Just as a tree grows, so does a family. Therefore, he encourages everyone to plant at least one tree, promoting his slogan, “Breath is becoming scarce, let’s plant a tree together.”

Anamika Chaudhary from Prayagraj echoed his sentiments, saying, “Breath is becoming scarce; let’s all plant trees and save the Earth. The balance of our environment is deteriorating. We should plant a sapling not just on Environment Day but every day. Let’s plant trees for future generations, as planting one tree is equivalent to having 100 sons.”

Sunil Kumar, another resident of Prayagraj, reflected on the impact of the pandemic, stating, “During the COVID-19 period, many struggled to breathe. Keeping this in mind, we are appealing to everyone with the slogan, ‘Breath is becoming scarce, let’s plant a tree together.’ If we don’t act now, we will create a significant crisis for future generations. Therefore, we urge everyone in the old neighborhood of Daraganj to plant a tree on their birthdays or in honor of their parents.”
