UN Urged to Intervene Amid Violence in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir

Bareilly, June 12: Maulana Shahabuddin Razvi, the national president of the All India Muslim Jamaat (AIMJ), has called for United Nations intervention regarding the violence in Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir (POK).

He accused Pakistani security forces of taking action against citizens who are voicing their concerns over their rights and rising inflation, resulting in significant harm to the general populace.

In addition, he supported the police verification campaign for gym trainers in Ghaziabad and suggested the establishment of separate gyms for women.

During an interview, Maulana Razvi stated that the residents of Pakistan-Occupied Kashmir have long been demanding their rights and basic amenities. He noted that during recent protests, force was used against ordinary citizens, leading to numerous casualties.

He alleged that the Pakistani army took harsh measures against those protesting against inflation and other public issues. He emphasized that such incidents raise serious human rights concerns and urged the international community to pay attention to this matter.

Maulana Razvi appealed to the United Nations and human rights organizations to conduct an impartial investigation and bring the facts to light. He insisted that organizations dedicated to human rights should study the situation in POK and raise the issues of the local population and their alleged oppression on a global platform.

Additionally, he commented on the police verification campaign for gym trainers in Ghaziabad, stating that verification of individuals associated with any business or service sector is part of administrative procedures, ensuring transparency and security.

He stressed that the government and administration should be aware of who is working in which area and their backgrounds. According to him, such measures can strengthen law and order and enhance public trust.

Regarding women’s safety and convenience, he suggested that separate gyms for women should be established, where training is conducted by female instructors. He proposed that men should be prohibited from entering these gyms, allowing women to participate in fitness activities in a more comfortable and secure environment. This would increase women’s participation and provide them with better facilities tailored to their needs.
