Ujjain Set to Gain Metro City Status, Says CM Mohan Yadav

Mumbai, May 15: The Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh, Mohan Yadav, announced that Ujjain will be recognized not only as a spiritual and cultural hub but also as a metro city. He made this statement during an event at the Jai Gurudev Ashram on Ujjain-Maksi Road.

During the event, Yadav expressed confidence that by the time of the Simhasth Kumbh Mela in 2028, Ujjain would be established as a metro city alongside its spiritual and cultural identity. He noted that Ujjain has transformed into a city of festivals as well as a religious destination.

The Chief Minister highlighted the development of Gita Bhavans in every district, where teachings of Lord Krishna will be shared, promoting spiritual study. He emphasized the importance of supporting Gopalak families economically while embracing the principles of cow protection.

CM Yadav also visited Gurudev Maharaj at the Jai Gurudev Ashram to seek blessings and listen to his teachings. Gurudev Umakant Maharaj blessed the Chief Minister during this visit.

He remarked on the significance of human life in Sanatan Dharma, stating that after 84 lakh life forms, one attains this human existence. He stressed that the guidance provided leads to a simpler and more disciplined life.

The government is actively working on establishing and protecting cow shelters. Ujjain and other religious cities have implemented alcohol bans, which are in effect in 19 cities across the state, including Omkareshwar, Maheshwar, Datia, and Chitrakoot.

Yadav noted that the teachings from saints help propagate Sanatan traditions and promote proper living practices, which are being implemented in the state.
