Two Convicted in 4-Year-Old SC-ST Act Case, Sentenced to Three Years

Muradabad, December 6 (Daily Kiran) – The Special Judge (SC-ST Act) Surendra Kumar’s court in Muradabad sentenced two accused to three years of imprisonment on Saturday in a case under the SC-ST Act. The court also imposed a fine of ₹13,000 on each convict.

ADGC Anandpal Singh Advocate of the Special Judge (SC-ST Act) court informed that Ram Kishore Sagar, a resident of Bhadgawa in the Bhagtpur area, had filed an FIR at Bhagtpur police station on July 3, 2021, against Prem Singh and Mahesh Singh for assault and offences under the SC-ST Act. The trial took place in the court of Judge Surendra Kumar, designated for SC/ST Act cases.

The court found the accused Prem Singh and Mahesh Singh guilty and sentenced them to three years of imprisonment along with a fine of ₹13,000 each.
