Washington, May 3: The United States and Iran may advance a new proposal aimed at achieving a ceasefire in the Middle East. President Donald Trump has stated that he is reviewing a new proposal to end the conflict with Iran. However, he also issued warnings regarding potential military and strategic actions.
Before departing from Palm Beach, President Trump spoke to reporters at the airport. He remarked, “We are doing very well with Iran. They want to make a deal.” Trump confirmed that he is evaluating Tehran’s alleged 14-point proposal.
He indicated that the U.S. might consider further military and strategic measures, which could include neutralizing Tehran’s remaining missile capabilities and reducing the number of American troops in Europe. In the same conversation, President Trump described Iran as weakened, stating, “They want to make a deal; they have become weak. They are struggling to decide who their leader is.”
When asked about Iran’s remaining missile capabilities, Donald Trump expressed a desire to eliminate them. He stated, “I would like to end it. This would be a fresh start for them, and yes, I would like to end it.”
While he declined to specify conditions for further U.S. military action, he did not rule out the possibility. He noted, “If they misbehave and do something bad, military action is certainly possible.”
Meanwhile, the U.S. President defended ongoing American operations in the region, describing them as stabilizing. He said, “This is a very friendly blockade. No one is challenging it.”
On the economic front, he also suggested that American energy companies could operate in Iran. He pointed to the significant shipments of oil being sent from the U.S., stating, “Many of our ships are coming from Texas and Louisiana. Hundreds of ships are lined up. We are selling a lot of oil.”
