New Delhi, July 1: On the birth anniversary of the legendary soldier Abdul Hamid, who was awarded the Param Vir Chakra for his bravery, tributes have been paid by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and several Chief Ministers from various states.
Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla expressed his heartfelt homage on social media, stating, “On the birth anniversary of the immortal warrior of the 1965 India-Pakistan War, Company Quarter Master Havildar Abdul Hamid, who was honored with the Param Vir Chakra, I pay my respects. Abdul Hamid displayed unmatched courage, unique combat skills, and unwavering patriotism, destroying enemy tanks and creating a legacy of valor that will forever be etched in golden letters.
