Bhopal, May 27: A heartbreaking incident has occurred in Bhopal, where the 16-year-old daughter of IPS officer Sanjeev Kanchan took her own life in their residence located in the upscale government housing colony, Char Imli.
Reports indicate that the young girl, a student in the 11th grade, had breakfast with her family on Tuesday morning before being left alone at home. When her father returned for lunch, he discovered that her room was locked. After breaking down the door, he found her hanging.
Sanjeev Kanchan immediately alerted the Habibganj police station. Authorities arrived promptly and sent the body for post-mortem examination. A suicide note was recovered at the scene, which read, “I could not be a good daughter, I am sorry.”
Assistant Commissioner of Police Umesh Tiwari confirmed that the girl had committed suicide at home. The note, written in English, expressed her love for her parents, stating, “Papa-Mummy, I love you very much. I love you more than myself. I could not be a good daughter, I apologize, I am going on a small journey.”
The police have initiated an investigation into the case, collecting statements from family members and examining the circumstances that led to this tragic decision.
