Sehore, March 6: A land dispute in Sehore district, Madhya Pradesh, turned deadly when a man allegedly murdered his brother’s children. The police are actively searching for the suspect.
The incident occurred in Dharmapuri village, under the jurisdiction of the Siddhi Ganj police station. Hari Singh Malviya had been embroiled in a long-standing land conflict with his younger brother, Jagdish Malviya.
Reports indicate that on Friday morning, Jagdish was not at home. His two children, Sheetal and Kuldeep, aged 20 and 22, were preparing to take their board exams that day. As they were getting ready to leave for the examination center, Hari Singh launched a brutal attack on them using sticks. Both were severely injured and rushed to the hospital, where they were pronounced dead by doctors.
According to police information, the long-standing land dispute likely motivated the suspect to commit this heinous act against his nephew and niece.
Following the incident, the accused fled the scene, prompting a manhunt by the police. Angered locals protested, leading to a confrontation with law enforcement.
However, the police managed to control the situation, and the bodies were sent for post-mortem examinations.
In the meantime, the police have initiated an extensive operation to locate the fugitive, Harish Malviya. Additional Superintendent of Police Sunita Rawat stated that multiple teams have been formed to apprehend him, and raids are being conducted at suspected locations.
Senior Police Inspector Girish Dubey reported that additional forces have been deployed in the village and hospital to maintain order. He added, “A case has been registered, and the search for the suspect is ongoing.”
