
Ranchi, June 21: A heartbreaking tragedy unfolded in Ranchi, the capital of Jharkhand, where two young brothers drowned in a water-filled pit on Sunday. The incident has cast a pall of sorrow over the entire area.
The unfortunate event took place in the Hahu Toli Karge village within the Mander police station jurisdiction. The deceased brothers have been identified as Anji Mahli, aged 7, and Ansh Mahli, aged 6.
According to reports, the boys were playing near their home when they accidentally fell into a deep pit filled with water. After a considerable time had passed without their return, family members grew concerned and initiated a search.
During the search, villagers discovered the boys unconscious in the water-filled pit. They were promptly pulled out and rushed to a nearby hospital. Unfortunately, medical personnel declared both children dead upon examination.
The news of the tragedy spread quickly, enveloping the village in silence and mourning. Family members expressed disbelief, stating that just moments before, the boys were happily playing outside, unaware of the impending disaster.
Meanwhile, the Mander police arrived at the scene shortly after receiving information and have begun an investigation into the incident. They have completed the necessary legal procedures and sent the bodies for post-mortem examination.
