Jhalawar, August 16: A tragic accident in Jhalawar district, Rajasthan, has resulted in the deaths of four individuals. The victims were returning from a visit to the Patla Peer Dargah when a private bus struck them.
Local police officer Buddharam reported that the group had traveled from Ramganjmandi in the Kota district to the Patla Peer Dargah. The collision injured a total of seven people, with four succumbing to their injuries.
Authorities are currently treating the remaining injured individuals. The bodies have been sent for post-mortem examination. The bus driver has been detained for questioning. Preliminary investigations suggest that the bus’s brakes failed at the time of the accident.
The deceased have been identified as Zayreen Abdul Hamid, Zayreen Rehan, Talib, and Alfez. One injured survivor recounted, “It was a private bus. The brakes might have failed, but I’m not sure what happened. The bus ran over us.”
Another witness stated that as they were returning from their visit, many were heading to board their bus when the second bus suddenly ran over several people. Reports indicate that between 10 to 15 individuals were injured, with around six to seven requiring hospitalization.
An additional witness confirmed that the second bus’s brakes had failed, causing it to run over multiple people, resulting in various injuries, including broken limbs.
