Meanwhile, Pahalgam, Gulmarg, and Sonmarg are witnessing a significant influx of tourists. The heat in the plains has prompted many to seek relief in the valley.

This summer, Kashmir is experiencing a surge in tourist activity. Hotels, houseboats, and resorts are filled to capacity as people flock to the region for respite from the sweltering heat. Popular destinations like Pahalgam, Gulmarg, Sonmarg, and the Boulevard Road in Srinagar are overcrowded, revitalizing the tourism industry in the valley.
At famous spots like Betaab Valley, tourists are facing long lines and traffic jams due to the overwhelming crowd.
Advance bookings continue to pour in, with reports indicating nearly full occupancy in hotels. Local tour operators and tourism officials are noting an extraordinary number of visitors, boosting the economy and restoring confidence among the local populace.
Following an attack in Pahalgam in April 2025, tourist movement was affected, but the goodwill of the locals and the resilience of the tourism sector have restored this momentum.
