
Patna, June 18: A tragic road accident in Nalanda district of Bihar has resulted in the deaths of three teenagers. The incident occurred near the Ganga Begha bridge in the Telhada police station area, creating an atmosphere of mourning and anger in the local community.
The victims have been identified as Ankush Kumar (15), son of Satish Chaudhary, Sunny Kumar (15), son of Raja Chaudhary, and Tannu Kumar (15), son of Manoj Chaudhary. All three were residents of Kothari village in the Telhada police station area and were related to one another.
According to family members, the teenagers were riding a motorcycle to Telhada market. Initial reports indicated that the bike collided with an e-rickshaw; however, police stated that the speeding motorcycle lost control and crashed into a palm tree by the roadside near the Ganga Begha bridge.
The impact was so severe that one teenager died on the spot, while the other two sustained serious injuries. Upon receiving news of the accident, local residents and police rushed to the scene.
The injured were immediately taken to Model Hospital, where doctors pronounced both of them dead, while the third had already succumbed to injuries at the accident site.
Telhada police station officer Ajit Kumar Tinku reported that the police arrived promptly and assisted local residents in transporting the injured to the hospital. He stated, “The three teenagers were on their way to Telhada market when the speeding motorcycle lost control and crashed into a tree. One died at the scene, while the other two died during treatment. The bodies have been taken for post-mortem, and further investigation is ongoing.”
The deaths of three teenagers from the same family have cast a pall of grief over Kothari village. Family members and villagers are gathering in large numbers to offer condolences to the bereaved families.
The police are currently investigating the incident to determine the exact causes of the accident.
