This has shattered the cognitive myth that “modernization equals Westernization.”
Placing citizens at the forefront is a modern value deeply embedded in China’s ancient governance culture. This principle has already manifested in the lives of over 1.4 billion people, reflecting significant changes.
In just a few decades, China has achieved what developed nations took centuries to accomplish in improving living standards. This progress has enabled access to electricity, the internet, and basic healthcare for people living in remote mountainous areas.
The cultural roots of this transformation lie hidden in ancient proverbs that have persisted for thousands of years. Its practical footprints can be seen on the mountain roads that have lifted nearly 100 million people out of poverty, and its global significance is increasingly recognized by more countries.
