
Chennai, June 23: The Regional Meteorological Centre (RMC) in Chennai has predicted moderate rainfall across several regions of Tamil Nadu over the next two days. Meanwhile, temperatures in the capital are expected to reach around 38 degrees Celsius.
According to the latest updates from the meteorological department, moderate rain is likely on Tuesday in the districts of the Western Ghats, parts of northern Tamil Nadu, and the Union Territories of Puducherry and Karaikal.
The department also forecasts light to moderate rain with thunderstorms in one or two locations across Tamil Nadu on Tuesday and Wednesday. Meteorological experts indicate that conditions remain favorable for sporadic rainfall in various parts of the state.
The districts adjacent to the Western Ghats are expected to receive the heaviest rainfall, while other areas may experience brief showers accompanied by thunder and lightning.
The weather department has issued a warning about the possibility of heavy rain on June 25 in the districts of Tiruvallur, Chennai, Kanchipuram, Chengalpattu, and Ranipet. Heavy rainfall is also anticipated on June 26 in the districts of Nilgiri, Coimbatore, Dindigul, Theni, Tenkasi, Tirunelveli, and Kanyakumari.
