Swami Avimukteshwaranand Defends Himself Ahead of Sexual Harassment Hearing

Varanasi, February 27: Swami Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati, embroiled in a sexual harassment case, is set to have his anticipatory bail plea heard today in the Allahabad High Court. Before the hearing, he presented his side of the story.

He stated that the truth is beginning to emerge and that soon, the public will know the full details. He also launched a sharp attack on Ashutosh Brahmachari Maharaj.

Speaking to the media about the upcoming proceedings, Avimukteshwaranand said, “Every day is crucial for us. We have the right to express our views, and we have presented our case in court. We hope the court will deliver a fair judgment. There will be attempts from the other side to deny us justice, which is expected. However, we believe that lies do not last long. Gradually, the truth will unfold, and people will understand the reality of the situation.”

Regarding the hearing, he added, “Our lawyers will present our case, and we are ready to provide all evidence. The question arises: how can a medical report implicate us? On what basis are they investigating our involvement? Everyone knows that a medical report conducted months later lacks credibility. Furthermore, if something did happen to the child, proving our involvement will be challenging, especially since the child has never been with us.”

He continued, “The children are living with Ashutosh Brahmachari Maharaj. Even the parents have not said that the children should stay with us. Why were the children placed in a hotel and not allowed to meet journalists? Why is the police providing such protection? Are they acting on their orders? They constantly threaten with laptops. If there is evidence, present it to the world. We have a saying: ‘When the fist is closed, all secrets are kept inside. If it opens, they are worthless.’ If something happened, it should be presented before the court.”
