Support for UCC Grows in Bhopal with New Billboards

Bhopal, July 18: Preparations for implementing the Uniform Civil Code (UCC) in Madhya Pradesh are underway, as billboards supporting the initiative were unveiled in Bhopal on Saturday. These billboards express gratitude towards the central government led by Prime Minister Modi and the state government. Prominently featured is a statement from Chief Minister Mohan Yadav, who remarked, “If Ram marries once, so should Rahim.”

The billboards were put up by BJP legislator Rameshwar Sharma. They can be seen at his office in Malviya Nagar and at several key intersections and public spaces across Bhopal. The messages on the billboards highlight the UCC as a significant step towards social equality and equal rights.

Politically, these billboards are considered crucial as the Mohan government is preparing to make a significant decision regarding the UCC. Reports indicate that the proposal for the Uniform Civil Code is on the agenda for the upcoming cabinet meeting, which is drawing attention not only from the state but also from across the country.

Chief Minister Mohan Yadav has previously stated that the state government is committed to implementing the UCC and is moving forward with plans to do so during this monsoon session.

Meanwhile, BJP legislator Rameshwar Sharma welcomed this initiative from both the central and state governments through the billboards. Following the installation of these billboards in the capital, the UCC issue has once again become a focal point of political and social discussion. All eyes are now on the cabinet meeting, where the government may formally decide on the Uniform Civil Code.
