
Reasi, September 14 (Daily Kiran) : A road accident in Reasi district of Jammu and Kashmir on Monday has left two people dead and seven others injured. The injured were promptly taken to a nearby hospital for treatment.
Officials reported that a vehicle carrying passengers overturned near the Bakal Tunnel area. The vehicle was en route from Bakal to Reasi when the accident occurred. As of now, the identities of the deceased have not been confirmed.
Emergency responders, including police and rescue teams, arrived at the scene shortly after receiving reports of the incident. All injured individuals were transported to the hospital for medical care. The police are currently investigating the matter.
This incident follows another tragic event on September 7, where three people lost their lives in two separate incidents in Jammu and Kashmir. In one case, a boy and a girl drowned after jumping into a canal in Ganderbal district. The boy was identified as Irshad Ahmed Kahi, the son of Mohammad Sharif Kahi from Thun, while the girl’s identity remains unknown.
Additionally, the body of a 28-year-old man was discovered hanging in an apple orchard in the Sugoo Handhma area of Shopian. Local residents first spotted the body and alerted the police. The deceased was identified as Nadeem Nazir Bhat, son of Nazir Ahmed Bhat from Sugoo Handhma.
