Successful Conclusion of CATC-4 Camp in Bihar Highlights TSC Selection Process

Patna, May 23: The CATC-4 (Combined Annual Training Camp) organized by the 23 Bihar Battalion NCC in Barouni, Bihar, has successfully concluded. Over 500 cadets from various units of the Bhagalpur Group participated in the camp.

The primary aim of the camp was the TSC (Territorial Soldiers Camp) selection process, which included activities such as firing, obstacle courses, map reading, field craft, and other competitive events. Several cadets who excelled during the camp were selected for further processes.

A cultural evening was held to mark the conclusion, where cadets captivated everyone with songs, dances, and patriotic performances. Outstanding cadets in various competitions were honored with medals and awards.

Camp Commandant Colonel Ritesh Mohan encouraged the cadets, stating that there is no need to feel disheartened if not selected. With hard work and self-confidence, better opportunities can arise in the future. He expressed hope for more cadets from Bihar and Jharkhand to reach national levels and motivated them to contribute positively to the country and society.

Present at the event were Subedar Major Suresh Kumar, Subedar Daya Bahadur Rana, Lieutenant Rakesh Kumar, Second Officer Swati Surabhi, Second Officer Upendra Kumar Yadav, Second Officer Rishi Kumar, Second Officer Ranjit Kumar, CTO Mahima Mishra, GCI Gudiya Kumari, and other PI staff.

It is noteworthy that CATC-4 is organized by the National Cadet Corps (NCC) across various states. This mandatory annual training camp aims to provide cadets with practical experience in rigorous military training, discipline, and the fundamental principles of leadership. The camp is essential for cadets to pass the ‘B’ and ‘C’ certificate examinations.
