Strict Action Against LPG Rumor Spreaders: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta

New Delhi, March 15: Chief Minister Rekha Gupta of Delhi issued a stern warning on Sunday against individuals or organizations spreading misinformation about LPG shortages in the city.

She urged citizens to disregard such rumors, emphasizing that despite the ongoing conflict in Iran affecting global fuel supply chains, there are sufficient fuel reserves to meet public demand.

Speaking to reporters at an event, the Chief Minister stated that spreading rumors and inciting panic among the public is unacceptable.

She reassured citizens that both the central and state governments are closely monitoring the situation and that there is no need for alarm.

Gupta noted that some individuals are unnecessarily trying to instill fear and promote hoarding, which goes against national interests.

She further mentioned that the government is vigilantly observing such activities and will take action against those who spread false information.

Earlier, the Chief Minister attended the 12th anniversary and silver jubilee celebration of the Apna Ghar Ashram in Budhpur.

She highlighted that organizations like Apna Ghar Ashram serve as a beacon of hope for those who find themselves separated from their families and communities for various reasons.

The Chief Minister stated that this organization not only provides shelter but also ensures essential services such as medical care, food, clothing, and proper care, helping individuals lead dignified lives.

Rekha Gupta noted that over the past 26 years, Apna Ghar Ashram has established an extensive network of services.

Today, the organization operates more than 70 centers across India, with its services gradually expanding internationally.

She described the institution as a true symbol of humanity and compassion.
