New Delhi, March 19: Congress MP Tariq Anwar has criticized BJP MP Kangana Ranaut’s comments made in the Lok Sabha against Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi, labeling them as offensive.
In a conversation in New Delhi, Anwar stated that it is not surprising for Ranaut to speak against Gandhi. He described her as a non-political woman from the film industry, emphasizing that she has no connection to politics. He questioned what kind of language one could expect from her when she uses such objectionable terms regarding the opposition leader. Anwar expressed concern that Ranaut seems unaware of the appropriate language to use when referring to leaders of the opposition.
Regarding Congress MP Shashi Tharoor’s characterization of India’s stance on West Asia as “responsible diplomacy,” Anwar noted that Tharoor’s views are personal. He emphasized that they understand foreign policy and politics, suggesting that India should stand by its friends during tough times.
Anwar remarked that the ongoing conflict among the U.S., Israel, and Iran has yet to clarify India’s role in the situation.
On the topic of the film “Dhurrandhar 2,” he expressed that such movies could negatively impact society in the future. He indicated that the film appears to be created with a specific agenda, showcasing violence that he believes is harmful to the upcoming generation. Anwar criticized the film for targeting a particular community and stated that the accusations made against them are unjust. He warned that such portrayals could foster hatred and animosity within society, urging the government to take notice. He concluded that if the film disrupts the social atmosphere in the country, it could lead to significant harm in the future.
