Bihar CM Expresses Condolences Over Indore Fire Tragedy Claiming Six Lives

Patna, March 19: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has expressed deep sorrow over the tragic incident in Indore, Madhya Pradesh, where a short circuit at an electric car charging point led to a devastating fire, resulting in the deaths of six individuals from Kishanganj district in Bihar. The Chief Minister described the event as extremely unfortunate. He has directed that each bereaved family receive a financial aid of two lakh rupees from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund.

Additionally, CM Nitish Kumar instructed the local commissioner in New Delhi to coordinate with the Madhya Pradesh government to ensure the proper arrangement for transporting the deceased’s bodies back to their village. He prayed for the eternal peace of the departed souls and for the families to find strength during this difficult time.

The fire erupted during the charging of a car in the Bengali Chauraha area of Indore, quickly escalating into a major blaze. Reports indicate that the fire spread rapidly, engulfing the entire building. Gas cylinders stored inside the house were also caught in the flames, leading to a series of explosions that caused part of the structure to collapse.

It has been reported that the victims included Ruchika, the daughter of Vijay Sethia, who had just arrived in Indore with her children to visit her ailing father. Vijay Sethia had been receiving treatment at his brother-in-law’s home in Indore for nearly a month. The family had been residing in a rented house in Kishanganj for 30 to 40 years.
