Mumbai, February 5: Actress Sonam Khan, known for her roles in films like ‘Tridev’, ‘Vishwatma’, ‘Ajooba’, ‘Mitti Aur Sona’, and ‘Krodh’, frequently shares anecdotes from her past films on social media. Recently, she recounted a fun story about the song ‘Uri Uri Baba’ from the movie ‘Dushman Devta’.

On Thursday, Sonam took to Instagram to share her experience during the song’s shoot, revealing that she had to dance barefoot, which resulted in blisters on her feet.

In her post, she shared a clip of the song featuring her alongside actor Suraj Pancholi. She wrote, “Yes, that’s me. Uri Uri Baba… It was extremely hot during the shoot, and I had to dance barefoot, which caused blisters on my feet.”

Fans have been enjoying Sonam’s post, leaving various reactions in the comments section.

The song ‘Uri Uri Baba’, released in the 1991 film ‘Dushman Devta’, was sung by Usha Uthup, with lyrics by Anjaan and music composed by Bappi Lahiri.

Directed by Anil Ganguly, ‘Dushman Devta’ is an action-drama film featuring Dharmendra, Dimple Kapadia, Aditya Pancholi, and Sonam in lead roles. The story revolves around a village plagued by bandits and wild animals, where Dharmendra plays a protector. Unfortunately, the film did not perform well at the box office, leading to significant losses for the producers.

The plot centers on the villagers suspecting a reformed thief (played by Dharmendra) after the murder of Master Deenanath. They begin to see him as a deity, unaware of his hidden agenda in the village.

As for Sonam, she made a notable mark in Hindi cinema but left the industry for personal reasons. She began her career in 1987 with a Telugu film but gained recognition with the song ‘Tirchi Topi Wale’.
