Mumbai, March 14: Renowned Hindi cinema actor Rajkummar Rao will star alongside popular South Indian actress Keerthy Suresh in the upcoming film ‘Raftaar’. The makers revealed the first poster and announced the release date on Saturday.
Rajkummar shared the film’s poster on Instagram, showcasing a stunning design in sleek black and metallic gold tones. The title ‘Raftaar’ is prominently displayed, with the names of Keerthy Suresh and Rajkummar Rao featured above it.
In his post, Rajkummar wrote, “Ambition made it, and greed will test it. ‘Raftaar’ will hit your nearest theaters on July 24.” The film is directed by Aditya Nimbalkar, with Rajkummar’s wife, Patralekha, producing it under her banner ‘Kampa Films’.
Following the post, Rajkummar’s friends and fellow actors, including Anup Soni, Mukesh Chhabra, Karishma Sharma, and Paramveer Cheema, shared their reactions in the comments section with emojis.
The film emphasizes love, greed, and ambition against the backdrop of education and the startup industry. The storyline revolves around a rapidly growing startup and the relationship between two ambitious individuals (Rajkummar and Keerthy), showcasing the clash of love and greed driven by money and power.
In addition to Rajkummar Rao and Keerthy Suresh, the film features Anurag Thakur, Rohan Verma, Tanya Manik Tala, and Rajat Kapoor in significant roles.
This will be Keerthy Suresh’s second Hindi film alongside Rajkummar. Fans are eager to see how the duo is received. Previously, she appeared in the 2024 film ‘Baby John’, directed by A. Kalieswaran, which was a remake of the Tamil film ‘Theri’.
