Mumbai: Television actress Shubhangi Atre, currently in the limelight for the upcoming film ‘Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain,’ recently shared her views on friendship within the entertainment industry. She stated that there are no best friends in this industry.
Shubhangi appeared as a special guest on the popular Balaji Telefilms podcast ‘Honestly, Why Not?’ where the host asked her about friendships in the entertainment world. The host questioned if she had ever lied in interviews about being best friends with her co-stars.
Responding to this, Shubhangi said, “Look, there are no best friends here because the industry is filled with competition and a lot of insecurity among people. While a show is running, you may become very good friends, but once the show ends, those relationships are left behind. Then you start a new journey in life. I believe the best part of being an actor is that you constantly discover and understand yourself.”
She further added, “So, the concept of a best friend does not really exist here. However, as long as we work together, we live like a family.”
The host then asked if she had ever had disagreements or arguments with someone on set and still had to shoot scenes with them, feeling reluctant to do so.
Shubhangi laughed and replied that she loves her work deeply and forgets everything while staying in character. “There have been disagreements, but I have never felt like not working. When I am in my character, I don’t remember anything else. I enjoy my work wholeheartedly and do it with full passion.”
