New Delhi, April 4: On Saturday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other leaders, including Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma, paid homage to Veerangana Jhalkari Bai on her death anniversary. They emphasized that her stories will continue to inspire future generations to serve the motherland.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed his tribute on the social media platform X, stating, “A humble tribute on the death anniversary of Veerangana Jhalkari Bai, a symbol of remarkable courage, valor, and unwavering dedication to the motherland. During the First War of Independence in 1857, Jhalkari Bai played a crucial role in Rani Lakshmibai’s army, challenging British rule with her indomitable courage and unique combat skills. Her sacrifice and dedication remain an eternal symbol of India’s maternal strength and self-respect.”

Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajan Lal Sharma also took to X to honor her, saying, “On the death anniversary of the great freedom fighter and embodiment of indomitable courage, Veerangana Jhalkari Bai, I offer my heartfelt respects!
