Shocking Video of Brutal Assault on Couple in Kanpur Goes Viral

Kanpur, August 8: A disturbing video from Kanpur Dehat has raised serious concerns about humanity and law enforcement. The footage shows a young man being brutally beaten after he was caught visiting his married girlfriend. Villagers and family members restrained him, tying him up and mercilessly striking his soles with sticks. The woman accompanying him also faced severe violence.

The incident occurred in the Derapur police area of Kanpur Dehat. The young man was caught red-handed by the woman’s relatives when he arrived at her home. Upon learning of his presence, villagers locked the door from the outside and alerted the woman’s family.

Once the relatives and villagers arrived, they swiftly apprehended the young man. He was subjected to a violent beating with sticks and sandals. Bound with ropes, he was forced to lie on the ground while his feet were struck repeatedly.

In the video, the young man is seen pleading for mercy and asking to be released, but the assault continued. The woman, who attempted to rescue him, was also attacked. Reports indicate that the woman had been in a love marriage six years ago, but her recent closeness with another man had raised eyebrows. This led to the confrontation when the young man visited her home.

A neighbor recorded the entire incident on a mobile camera, and the video has since gone viral on social media. Following the incident, police arrived at the scene after receiving a call to Dial 112. Both parties were taken to the police station, where medical examinations were conducted.

According to Dharmendra Kumar Singh, the area officer of Derapur, the police were informed that a man had entered a house and was being assaulted. Upon arrival, they discovered that the young man had come to meet his married girlfriend, which led to the violent confrontation. The police are currently interrogating those involved and will file charges based on the complaints received.
