Faridabad, August 4: A shocking incident has emerged from Faridabad, Haryana, where a man brutally stabbed a 29-year-old teacher to death. The suspect had been stalking the woman for several days. He was completely covered, concealing his head, face, and shoulders to avoid recognition. However, the police apprehended him just hours after the incident. The suspect has been identified as Amit.
The victim, Sandhya, worked as a teacher at a private school located in the village of Sikrona. Notably, a police station is situated nearby. According to police officials, the suspect arrived at the school on Wednesday and requested to speak with the teacher.
When Sandhya was informed that someone had come to meet her, she stepped outside. The suspect then launched a frenzied knife attack on her. The assaults targeted her face, neck, and chest. The entire incident was captured on CCTV.
The footage clearly shows the suspect entering the school premises and waiting for Sandhya. He had covered his head, face, and shoulders with a white cloth. As soon as he spotted Sandhya, he gestured for her to come outside. The CCTV footage reveals that before attacking her with the knife, he pulled her outside, causing her to fall to the ground. Despite her vulnerable position, the assailant continued his relentless attack.
According to NDTV, school staff rushed to the scene upon hearing the commotion. They attempted to intervene, but the attacker turned on them as well. Before anyone could stop him, he continued to assault Sandhya. After committing the crime, he fled the scene on a motorcycle without a license plate.
The school administration reported that around 9:30 AM, they heard cries for help. When staff members arrived, they found Sandhya injured while the assailant was still attacking her.
Following the incident, Sandhya was immediately taken to Al-Falah Hospital, where doctors pronounced her dead.
The police acted swiftly, launching an investigation that led to the suspect’s arrest just two hours after the crime. Amit, a 21-year-old from Kot village, confessed to his involvement during questioning.
Initial investigations revealed that Amit had known the victim for the past two years and had attempted to contact her multiple times, but Sandhya showed no interest in engaging with him. Furthermore, it was discovered that she had recently filed a harassment complaint against him. Sources indicate that after this complaint, Amit publicly apologized to her. Authorities suspect that he committed the act out of revenge.
The investigation is ongoing, with police working to piece together all aspects of the incident and gather further evidence.
