Patiala, June 30: A distressing incident has emerged in Patiala, Punjab, shaking the community. A newborn was discovered abandoned near the old bus stand, causing a stir in the area.
According to reports, passersby noticed the infant alone on a chair in the waiting area of the bus stand. Without hesitation, they took the baby into their arms and rushed her to Mata Kaushalya Hospital, where she is currently receiving medical care under the supervision of doctors. Her condition is reported to be stable, and it appears she was born just recently.
Upon receiving the news, Saurav Sabharwal, the SHO of Lahori Gate Police Station, arrived at the scene with his team to initiate an investigation. He stated that the police had been informed about an unidentified individual abandoning the newborn. Following this alert, the police promptly arrived and admitted the baby to the hospital.
Eyewitness Neetu reported that someone had notified the police about the baby. Upon arrival, the newborn was found alone on the chairs in the waiting area, with police officers, traffic police, and others present at the scene. The baby was later transported to the hospital.
