Mumbai, August 29: Actress Bhavna Pani has carved a niche for herself in both films and theater. In a recent conversation, she expressed her aspiration to work in a Sanjay Leela Bhansali film at least once in her career.
She stated, “Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir, no matter what role I am given, it is my responsibility to elevate it. I hope that whenever I get the chance to work in his film, it will be a spectacular, powerful, and challenging role. I also wish for it to involve dance, as I have learned Indian classical dance since childhood. I believe that Sanjay Leela Bhansali sir has a great understanding of classical music and dance.”
The actress believes that if any director has successfully brought Indian classical dance and music to the big screen in Hindi cinema, it is Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
When asked about her interest in becoming an astronaut if she were not an actor or dancer, she noted, “Acting is driven by imagination and emotion, while astrophysics is based on logic and science. How do these different worlds coexist in your personality?”
In response, she said, “Emotions never come without reasoning. Where do they come from, and what is their purpose? Understanding this requires a lot of reasoning and science. Knowledge of behavioral science is also essential. There are many aspects where a logical mind is crucial. I believe that both logical thinking and imagination are necessary. Scientific thinking greatly aids an actor.”
Recently, Bhavna Pani was seen in Akshay Kumar’s film ‘Bhoot Bangla,’ where she played the role of ‘Maid Ragini.’ She gained significant attention for her dance in the popular song ‘O Sundari’ from the film.
