Mumbai, August 29: Actor Anupam Kher is set to appear in the upcoming film ‘Shri Ram Bhumi’. On Saturday, he announced that he has completed shooting for the film and expressed gratitude to the entire team through a post.
Kher shared several images on Instagram showcasing his character in the film. He wrote, “My work in the film ‘Shri Ram Bhumi’ is complete. Some films provide an artist with the satisfaction of having done good work, while others bring pride in being part of significant cinema. However, some films touch not just the artist but also the hearts of the audience.”
He continued, “These films purify the soul and fill the mind with a deep, serene spiritual experience. ‘Shri Ram Bhumi’ is one such film for me.”
Feeling fortunate, Kher stated, “It is a blessing in my life and by the grace of Lord Shri Ram that I got the opportunity to portray the role of Shri Ashok Singhal. His dedication, penance, and contribution to the Ram Janmabhoomi movement and the grand temple of Ram Lalla are invaluable and cannot be expressed in words.”
Anupam Kher thanked the film’s director, producers, and all the cast members. He added, “I sincerely thank the producers, director, my co-actors, and everyone associated with this film. Their contribution to my performance is priceless. Soon, ‘Shri Ram Bhumi’ will be before you all. Jai Shri Ram.”
In this film, Anupam Kher plays the late leader of the Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP), Ashok Singhal. The film is directed by national award-winning director Kamakhya Narayan Singh and will portray the emotional and historical journey of the decades-long struggle for the construction of the Ram temple in Ayodhya.
Alongside Anupam Kher, Ritvik Bhoumik and Amruta Khanvilkar will also be seen in lead roles.
