Mumbai, August 29: Social media influencer and model Riya Aheer is set to appear in ‘Bigg Boss 20’. Her entry into the show is entirely based on audience votes, which Riya describes as a test for her.
Riya believes that once she enters Bigg Boss, people will truly understand the kind of person she is. She shared, “When I first heard about my participation in Bigg Boss, many started trolling me. They claimed that fame had gone to my head, which is why I decided to rely on voting.”
She explained that many people questioned her decision to join Bigg Boss, leading to various speculations about her. Riya said, “Initially, I too wondered why I should go to Bigg Boss. Then I spoke to my father, and his words resonated with me. He told me that how I react to this situation depends entirely on me. He wasn’t forcing me to relaunch myself or do anything. This thought stayed with me. I felt it would be a great opportunity for people to see who I really am. If they are confused about what’s happening, I want them to see me as I truly am. Don’t listen to me or anyone else; make your own decision.”
Riya Aheer gained significant attention on social media when she stood alone in front of a police van during student protests against the NEET paper leak and examination system, going viral overnight.
When asked about her reaction to the viral video and whether she expected such love from the public, Riya responded, “No, I had no expectation of receiving such love. My action at that moment was completely natural and normal. Even a month later, when I see it, I feel the same.”
She clarified that her participation in Bigg Boss is not due to that viral action but rather because of the love and support she has received from people. Riya stated, “I have been involved in theater for 13 years and modeling for 6 years. During this time, I have played various roles, but people have only liked me when I presented myself as Riya.”
