Mumbai, September 21 (Daily Kiran) : Actress Sharbari Wagh is gearing up for the release of her family drama film “Ye Prem Mol Liya.” During the launch event for the film’s title track, she shared her fond memories of growing up listening to iconic songs like “Didi Tera Devar Deewana” and “Maiya Yashoda.”
Wagh expressed her gratitude for the opportunity to work with renowned director Sooraj Barjatya, describing the experience as enlightening. She recounted a memorable moment from the filming, stating, “Whenever we shot the songs, Sooraj sir would share stories from the time these classic songs were filmed. That was my favorite part, as I have loved these songs since childhood.”
She highlighted how Barjatya provided insights into the behind-the-scenes details of those beloved tracks, which she aimed to incorporate into her performance. “Sooraj sir shared some insider information, and I tried to apply it,” she noted.
Wagh also emphasized how working on the songs gave her a deeper understanding of Rajshri’s filmmaking style. “I truly believe this was the first time I saw how, beyond choreography, so many elements must be considered in songs, such as family emotions and the connections formed. It was fascinating to observe how songs propel the film’s narrative forward, making it a very special experience for me,” she explained.
“Ye Prem Mol Liya” features Sharbari Wagh alongside Ayushmann Khurrana and Anupam Kher, and is set to hit theaters on November 27.
