Varanasi, March 23: Shankaracharya Avimukteshwaranand Saraswati has announced the formation of a 27-member Chaturangini Sena in Varanasi, aimed at expanding efforts for cow protection. In a media interaction, he stated that this initiative seeks to alleviate fear within the Hindu community and instill courage to stand for the truth.
He claimed that the organization will be actively working in various sectors within the next ten months, strengthening the sense of trust and security among the people.
Shankaracharya noted that many individuals in the Hindu community refrain from supporting the truth due to fear, often feeling compelled to back wrongdoings. The primary objective of the Chaturangini Sena will be to empower the weak and establish justice in society.
He explained the operational strategy of the organization using the principle of “Toko, Roko, and Thoko.” Initially, efforts will focus on identifying wrongdoings and educating people. If no improvements occur, attempts will be made to oppose and halt these actions. The final stage of “Thoko” does not imply violence but rather involves filing complaints through legal channels, engaging in community discussions, and exercising rights granted by the Constitution.
When asked about the use of a weapon, he cited Lord Parshuram as an example, explaining that Parshuram studied the Vedas and dedicated his life to penance. In his ashram, cows were cared for, but when King Sahasrarjun attacked and harmed them, Parshuram took up arms for their protection. Shankaracharya emphasized that the weapon symbolizes a tradition that inspires standing against injustice.
In response to another question, he stated that according to Indian tradition, only followers of the same religion are permitted entry into places of worship. He described this as an age-old practice necessary for maintaining religious discipline and decorum in society.
