Mumbai, June 14: Shiv Sena leader Shaina NC has strongly condemned the controversial remark made by comedian Pranit More regarding “370 rupee biryani” during a comedy show. She stated, “We all enjoy stand-up comedy. Comedians are meant to entertain, but they must remain within limits. What Pranit More did is absolutely reprehensible. A woman is not an object that can be acquired for 370 rupees. Such thinking is utterly disgusting.”
She emphasized the need to understand that if a woman is empowered and professional, she should not be viewed as an object. “You have not purchased any woman. It is crucial to grasp this,” she added. The Maharashtra government has taken action based on this premise, highlighting the importance of legal repercussions.
Shaina NC also addressed comments made by a doctor regarding a deceased person’s private parts, stating, “Dr. Sejal is a physician. Doctors deserve respect, and making such remarks is highly inappropriate. I am glad he has apologized, but the outcry from the entire medical community is entirely justified, as this is not a joking matter. Mocking someone’s body or their death is profoundly tragic.”
Regarding FDA Commissioner Tukaram Mundhe’s orders against gutkha smugglers under MCOCA, she remarked, “Tukaram Mundhe’s objective is absolutely correct. Everyone knows the harm caused by chewing gutkha and its impact on families. He has issued this order from that perspective. Whether MCOCA will be applied or not is for the government to decide, but awareness campaigns are necessary. We are all committed to fighting against gutkha and cancer.”
In response to Sanjay Raut’s derogatory comments about Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Shaina NC stated, “Sanjay Raut has lost his mental balance. He tries to be Maharashtra’s Charlie Chaplin to entertain people, but his statements only make it clear that he belongs in a mental asylum. His offensive language towards the Prime Minister reflects his evident frustration.”
She further commented on the Congress party’s situation, saying, “The Congress ship has sunk. Any small parties that align with it will also face the same fate. When two boats sink, there is no question of rising again. There is nothing left in the INDIA alliance. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi seems more interested in foreign trips and vacations. Afterward, he returns to make statements about vote shares and baseless accusations against the Election Commission.”
On the TCS matter, Shaina NC stated, “TCS should thoroughly review its institutional framework, whether it pertains to corporate jihad, the Nida Khan case, or any other serious irregularities. It is essential to maintain communal harmony in the workplace and not promote any form of extremism or radical ideology. The Tata Group must take note of this issue.”
