Kabul, September 24 (Daily Kiran) : The Taliban has confirmed that four Afghan civilians lost their lives in airstrikes conducted by Pakistan in the provinces of Kandahar, Paktia, and Khost. Spokesperson Zabihullah Mujahid condemned these strikes as “indiscriminate and cowardly” attacks, labeling them a blatant violation of all rules and principles, as well as an act of aggression and crime.
Mujahid stated, “The Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan assures the people that we will respond decisively to these shameful acts of aggression and attacks by the Pakistani military regime.” He criticized Pakistani military circles for claiming that drones had allegedly crossed into their territory from Afghanistan, describing this as an attempt to justify their own internal problems.
He warned that such “reckless, irresponsible, and hostile actions” would undoubtedly incite anger among the Afghan people and lead to severe consequences for the Pakistani military regime.
In the wake of these attacks, former Afghan President Hamid Karzai criticized Islamabad’s ongoing aggressive policy towards Afghanistan. He warned that this aggression is now reaching Pakistan itself. Karzai remarked on social media, “Pakistan has once again bombed our beloved country in Kandahar, Khost, and Paktia. It seems that Islamabad has no intention of abandoning its negative policy, which is now reaching its own doorstep. Pakistan must understand that all Afghans, without exception, are united and resolute against these aggressive actions.”
He further urged the Pakistani government to choose the path of good neighborly relations with Afghanistan and to improve its ties with the nation.
These recent airstrikes come just days after Pakistan conducted similar attacks in Afghanistan’s Kunar and Paktika provinces, resulting in three fatalities.
