New Delhi, February 18: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has praised Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić’s article regarding his visit to India and the upcoming ‘AI Impact Summit 2026′. Modi highlighted that Vučić’s piece reflects India’s advancements in artificial intelligence and the strong ties between India and Serbia.
On Wednesday morning, Prime Minister Modi took to the social media platform X, stating, “A brilliant article by Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić, where he discusses AI, his affection for India, and the robust relationship between India and Serbia.”
Earlier, President Vučić shared his article on X, expressing his happiness about visiting India and participating in the ‘AI Impact Summit 2026′.
In the introduction of his article, he mentioned, “Arriving in Delhi for the AI Impact Summit brought me immense joy. This feeling stemmed from witnessing a country I have long admired, paving the way for success for its peers.”
Vučić noted that India’s ability to maintain unity amidst diversity has always fascinated him. As one of the world’s largest republics, with multiple languages, religions, cultures, and traditions, India exemplifies vibrant and dynamic pluralism.
Reflecting on his life, he wrote, “During the 1990s, while working in London, I first met people from India, which deepened my affection for the country. The lessons I learned then were far removed from the noise of diplomacy and politics. They helped shape both my character and my worldview.”
In his article, Vučić remarked, “At a time when many Europeans around me were accustomed to underestimating India and Indians, the steadfast intentions and hard work of my colleagues and friends compelled me to think differently. Those who dismiss India’s long-term progress will one day be proven wrong.”
He further added, “I felt this conviction again at this year’s World Economic Forum in Davos. During a discussion on artificial intelligence, one perspective suggested that India might hold a ‘second-tier’ position among global AI powers. I respectfully disagree. India’s approach to AI focuses on real-world deployment, ethical standards, and inclusive innovation. This practical approach, tied to the urgent needs of the 21st century, reflects India’s hope to serve as a guide in applying technological advancements for social good.”
Describing the ‘India AI Impact Summit’ as more than just a conference, he stated, “It firmly positions India at the center of global discussions on artificial intelligence. Its aim is to understand how AI can be responsibly and inclusively utilized on a large scale to address real-world challenges.”
President Vučić emphasized that efforts are being made to ensure that AI promotes equal access to new technological benefits, making it an engine for inclusive development and collective progress, rather than serving only specific groups.
