Lucknow, September 28 (Daily Kiran) : Cabinet Minister Sanjay Nishad has raised concerns about the allegations made by Samajwadi Party leader Akhilesh Yadav regarding the government’s performance. He demanded clarity on the funding and roadmap for the promises being made by Yadav. Nishad also addressed comments made by State Minister Hansraj Vishwakarma regarding Chirag Paswan’s announcement to contest in the upcoming Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, as well as Mayawati’s claims about Chandrashekhar Azad’s electoral success.
Nishad accused Yadav of relying solely on negative politics and spreading confusion to garner votes. He questioned the feasibility of fulfilling the promises and sought details on their funding and implementation. Addressing the issue of privatization and government jobs, he pointed out that previous administrations also engaged in privatization agreements, questioning why there was no opposition at that time. He emphasized that the current government is working to benefit employees and pensioners through new arrangements, noting that the central government has opened accounts for employees and established pension systems, which were lacking in the past.
In response to Yadav’s inquiries about waterlogging, hospital conditions, and development projects, Nishad referred to natural disasters and heavy rainfall. He stated that extreme weather events such as heavy rains, cyclones, and storms can affect any system. He remarked that it is unrealistic to make every aspect completely waterproof against all circumstances. Nishad compared the state of roads before and after 2017, asserting that the public can see the differences between the two periods.
Regarding Yadav’s questions about EVMs, the Election Commission, government actions, and alleged scams related to the Ram Temple, Nishad challenged the evidence behind these allegations. He insisted that neither the government nor saints are involved in any wrongdoing and criticized attempts to defame them. He added that those who commit wrongs will face consequences from both divine and governmental authorities.
On the topic of Chirag Paswan’s announcement to run in the 2027 Uttar Pradesh Assembly elections, State Minister Hansraj Vishwakarma stated that Paswan is entitled to express his views as a party leader. He noted that the NDA coalition exists at both the central and state levels and that discussions can lead to resolutions on such matters.
Vishwakarma dismissed Mayawati’s claim that the BJP aided Chandrashekhar Azad in winning elections in 2024, asserting that the BJP will focus on its own candidates rather than supporting those from other parties.
Commenting on Yadav’s remarks regarding the UP Assembly elections, Vishwakarma stated that there is no need for sarcasm. He reminded that Yadav has lost elections in 2017 and 2022, and projected that he would also lose in 2027. He expressed confidence that his party, in alliance with others, would achieve a two-thirds majority and secure over 300 seats.
