President Murmu Departures from Bengaluru to New Delhi with Warm Send-Off

Bengaluru, July 1: President Droupadi Murmu departed from HAL Airport in Bengaluru on Wednesday aboard a special Indian Air Force aircraft, heading to New Delhi. Prior to her departure, she attended the first convocation ceremony of the Central Tribal University in Andhra Pradesh, after which she arrived in Bengaluru.

During her visit to Andhra Pradesh, President Murmu was the chief guest at the inaugural convocation ceremony held in Vizianagaram, near Visakhapatnam. She urged students to stay connected to their cultural roots and contribute to the development of society and the nation.

Karnataka Governor Thawarchand Gehlot and Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar were present at the airport to bid farewell to the President. Several senior administrative and military officials were also in attendance, including Karnataka’s Transport Minister Bhairathi Suresh, Director General of Police Dr. M.A. Saleem, Air Vice Marshal D.S. Dangi, Major General Mohit Mahendru, Bengaluru Police Commissioner Simaant Kumar Singh, and Deputy Commissioner of Bengaluru Kantaraju P.S.

Chief Minister D.K. Shivakumar shared details of the farewell on social media platform X, stating that he and Governor Gehlot honored President Murmu with a warm and respectful send-off.

Extensive security arrangements were in place at the airport during President Murmu’s visit and departure. All formalities were completed in the presence of senior officials before she took off for New Delhi on the special Indian Air Force aircraft.
