Lucknow, September 16 (Daily Kiran) : The Samajwadi Party (SP) has announced significant changes to strengthen its organization in preparation for the 2027 assembly elections. Under the guidance of national president Akhilesh Yadav, the party has appointed new district presidents in six districts.
According to the official announcement, Sunil Kumar Maurya from Ballia, Umesh Yadav from Banda, Jai Singh from Ayodhya, Dharmesh Gangwar from Pilibhit, Indra Pradhan from Gautam Buddha Nagar, and Jaychandra Vimal from Unnao have been named as district presidents.
The appointments were confirmed with a letter signed by the personal secretary to the national president, Gangaram, and copies were sent to the national general secretary, Prof. Ramgopal Yadav, the state president, and the newly appointed and outgoing district presidents of the respective districts.
Among these appointments, Umesh Yadav’s selection for Banda has generated considerable discussion. Party sources indicate that Yadav has been actively involved in implementing the party’s policies and directives on the ground for many years. His dedication and organizational skills have earned him the trust of Akhilesh Yadav, who has given him this important role.
Banda, a key district in Bundelkhand, is a focus area for the SP as it seeks to expand its support base. Umesh Yadav is now tasked with promoting the party’s policies and restructuring the district executive.
Since the announcement, SP workers in Banda have shown great enthusiasm, congratulating Yadav and expressing their support on social media platforms.
