Mumbai, July 23: Actor Salman Khan has responded to the NEET paper leak controversy and the ongoing student protests, emphasizing the need to strengthen the education system. In a post on the social media platform ‘X’, he stated, “This movement was fundamentally peaceful, but its turn towards violence is deeply saddening.” He also expressed sympathy for the students and their families who were injured during the protests.
In his post, Khan remarked, “The issue of the paper leak is extremely serious and affects the futures of millions of students. It is heartening to see students across the country unite for better educational reforms, with their parents standing alongside them in this campaign.”
He praised the students, saying, “They have shown a desire to build their future through hard work, honesty, and dedication. This movement is proof that the youth of our nation seeks a better education system. The students have attempted to express their concerns peacefully, and their courage and commitment deserve recognition.”
The actor added, “An aware and motivated youth will illuminate India’s name globally in the future. Today’s generation will elevate the country to new heights through their knowledge and hard work.”
Khan further emphasized, “This student movement should not be politicized. This issue is solely related to students and the education system, and thus the credit should go to the students themselves. I am confident that the government will understand the sentiments of the students and take necessary steps to make the education system more transparent, robust, and trustworthy.”
He concluded by stating, “If the education system is strong, the entire country will benefit. Every student aspiring for education should have better opportunities. Education should be made so attractive and effective that more and more youth are inspired to pursue it every year. India should become an educational hub where students from other countries wish to study.”
