Reunion of Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi Cast Celebrates Fond Memories
The cast of the iconic TV series reunited at Reeva Babbars home, sharing laughter and nostalgia as they approach the finale of the sequel.
Mumbai, October 13 (Daily Kiran) : The beloved cast of the television series “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi” recently held a heartwarming reunion in Mumbai. Actress Aparna Mehta shared glimpses of the gathering on her social media platforms.
Photos posted by Mehta showcased the joyful assembly at Reeva Babbar’s home, featuring stars like Smriti Irani, Gauri Pradhan, Ritu Chaudhary, Kamalika Guha Thakurta, Rakshanda Khan, Hiten Tejwani, and Sumit Sachdev.
Mehta expressed her delight, stating that the reunion was filled with laughter, delicious food, and unforgettable moments. This gathering coincided with the impending finale of “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2.”
Smriti Irani, who portrayed the iconic Tulsi Virani, posed for photos alongside her former co-stars, including Gauri Pradhan, known for her role as Nandini Virani, and Hiten Tejwani. Aparna Mehta, who played Savita Virani, was also present to relive the cherished memories.
The original series first aired on July 3, 2000, on Star Plus, produced by Ekta Kapoor and Shobha Kapoor of Balaji Telefilms. It starred Irani as Tulsi Virani and Amar Upadhyay/Ronit Roy as Mihir Virani, with Tulsi becoming one of Indian television’s most iconic characters.
The storyline revolved around the Gujarati family ‘Virani Parivar’ (Shanti Niketan), showcasing the ideal daughter-in-law Tulsi as she navigated family relationships, values, and challenges. Due to its immense popularity, the makers launched a sequel, “Kyunki Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi 2,” in 2025, bringing back Smriti Irani and the original cast. The second season is now nearing its conclusion, with the final episode set to air on October 20.
