Release Date Announced for Season Two of Gram Chikitsalaya

Mumbai, June 4: The popular web series ‘Gram Chikitsalaya,’ which closely portrays rural life and social issues, is set to entertain audiences once again. Following the success of its first season, the release date for the second season has been officially announced. The first season captivatingly depicted the health system in the village, the challenges faced by its residents, and the struggles of a young doctor. In the upcoming season, the story returns to the same village where Dr. Prabhat will encounter new challenges.

The creators of the series shared a new poster for the second season on Instagram. The poster hints that events related to the village hospital and life there will be integral to the storyline this time.

Accompanying the poster, the makers humorously wrote, “Make sure to come for your injection on June 23.” They also revealed that the new season will be available to viewers on Prime Video starting June 23.

The story of the second season will revolve around Dr. Prabhat, who is dedicated to improving the primary health center in the village of Bhatakandi. In the first season, viewers witnessed how Dr. Prabhat navigated his responsibilities amid the village’s problems and the mindset of its people. The new season promises even more challenging circumstances for him.

On this occasion, Manish Menghani, Director of Content Licensing at Prime Video India, expressed his excitement. He stated, “As time progresses, audience preferences are changing. People are not only interested in stories from big cities but also in narratives that showcase the real life of villages. ‘Gram Chikitsalaya’ beautifully presented the lives, emotions, and everyday challenges of ordinary people in its first season, which is why it received such love from viewers. I believe the second season will also resonate with audiences and will be both entertaining and thought-provoking.”

Director Lalit Tiwari also shared his thoughts on the new season. He said, “For me, this series is much more than a comedy-drama. It serves as a medium to present the true picture of rural India. Since the first season, my aim has been to depict village life with complete authenticity. In the second season, challenges related to healthcare, interpersonal relationships among villagers, and their struggles will be significant parts of the story. This time, viewers will encounter many characters and situations they can easily relate to.”

The series is directed by Lalit Tiwari, with the story and screenplay written by Vaibhav Suman and Shreya Srivastava. The cast includes Amol Parashar, Akash Makheja, Anandeswar Dwivedi, Vinay Pathak, Akanksha Ranjan Kapoor, Garima Vikrant Singh, and Dinesh Lal Yadav in pivotal roles.

‘Gram Chikitsalaya’ will premiere on June 23 in Hindi across more than 240 countries and regions, including India, on Prime Video.
