Kolkata, April 26: Bhojpuri actor and BJP MP from Gorakhpur, Ravi Kishan, held a vigorous roadshow and election rallies in North Howrah, West Bengal, on Sunday amid the assembly elections.
Addressing party workers and the public, Kishan asserted that the BJP is poised to form a government in Bengal with a significant majority on May 4, marking the end of the Trinamool Congress (TMC) rule.
In a conversation with the media, the BJP MP expressed his respect for Bengal’s land. He stated that the people of Bengal are voting to preserve their identity. Responding to Prime Minister Modi’s appeal, the public has decided they want good governance instead of misrule.
Kishan highlighted the long-standing humiliation faced by Hindus in the region. He noted that the fishing community struggles to make a living, and many mills have shut down. He emphasized that Bengalis are now eager to align with PM Modi.
In a light-hearted remark, he joked about bringing fish from across India to fill the local ponds, suggesting that residents would enjoy fish after May 4.
Kishan mentioned his past work in Bengali films, stating his deep connection to the region. However, he criticized the TMC for hindering Bengal’s development. He insisted that a BJP government is essential to bring Bengal back on the path of progress.
Regarding the impressive voter turnout in the first phase, he cautioned against underestimating the 92% voting rate, indicating that the public is determined to see a BJP government.
In response to TMC leader Abhishek Banerjee’s comments, Kishan remarked that Banerjee has realized they are losing.
In a post, Kishan shared his participation in a roadshow and public meeting supporting BJP candidate Dr. Partha Chaudhary in the Belghoria assembly constituency. He noted the overwhelming public support as a clear sign of change. He urged citizens to vote in large numbers during this democratic festival to support development and stability, asserting that TMC will be ousted from Bengal on May 4.
