Rajnath Singh Criticizes TMC Governance Ahead of West Bengal Elections

Barakpur, April 7: Ahead of the first phase of voting in West Bengal, Defense Minister Rajnath Singh has taken charge of the campaign. Speaking at a rally in Barakpur, he launched a strong attack on the Trinamool Congress (TMC) and highlighted the achievements of his government.

Rajnath Singh stated, “It is now certain that the era of the Trinamool Congress and its misgovernance is coming to an end, and the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will come to power here. Once the BJP government is in place, we will make Bengal strong and developed. The house of Bankim Babu will be turned into a tourist spot, where people can learn about his history.”

He added, “Through ‘Vande Mataram,’ Bankim Chandra reminded the entire nation of how great India was, how great it is, and how great it can be. If anyone has worked to spread this awareness, it is Bankim Chandra. He inspired the spirit of India through the song ‘Vande Mataram.’ When the country was engulfed in darkness, some lit small lamps, but Bankim Chandra ignited the spark of revolution across the nation.”

Rajnath Singh remarked, “In the past, the people of West Bengal were at the forefront in many aspects, but now under the TMC government, they are continuously lagging behind. Every state in India is advancing in investment, but Mamata Banerjee is not allowing this to happen in West Bengal. While industries are being promoted in every state, established factories in Bengal are shutting down. Entrepreneurs in West Bengal lack the courage to invest.”

He questioned Mamata Banerjee, saying, “You have been the Chief Minister three times, but what have you done for the people of West Bengal? You have oppressed the people and obstructed development. After three terms, the condition of West Bengal has worsened.”
