Mumbai, October 13 (Daily Kiran): After several dry days, weather conditions in Maharashtra are expected to change again from October 15, bringing rain and thunderstorms to parts of the state. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), Vidarbha, Marathwada, and Central Maharashtra are likely to experience cloudy skies and scattered rainfall till October 18.

Although the southwest monsoon has officially withdrawn from the state, IMD forecasts indicate a fresh spell of moisture and thunderstorm activity in some regions. The possibility of heavy rain cannot be ruled out in Vidarbha and Marathwada, while Khandesh and Central Maharashtra may see light to moderate showers with thunder at isolated places.

The State Agriculture Department has issued an advisory to farmers to stay cautious and protect harvested crops from possible rain damage. They have been urged to store harvested produce in safe and covered places to prevent spoilage.

Meteorologists attribute this weather change to a low-pressure system forming over central India, which is expected to bring temporary wet conditions before skies clear again later next week.
