Uttar Pradesh Leads in GEM Portal Purchases Under CM Yogi Adityanaths Leadership

Lucknow, April 9: Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s transparent policies have positioned Uttar Pradesh as a model state in the country. Whether it involves purchasing sugarcane, wheat, rice, or other agricultural products from farmers, or meeting the diverse procurement needs of government departments, the Yogi government has set high standards for transparency.

In this context, the state’s government departments have significantly increased their purchases through the GEM portal, placing Uttar Pradesh ahead of other states.

During the fiscal year 2025-26, Uttar Pradesh has become a benchmark for other states with its purchases on the GEM portal. The state achieved a remarkable procurement of ₹22,337 crores through the GEM portal. The Urban Development Department led the way with purchases amounting to ₹3,606 crores. The Government of India has praised Uttar Pradesh’s GEM portal procurement policy, declaring it a role model for transparent purchasing practices.
