In Chenagad market, debris has entered and several vehicles have been washed away, while in Chenagad Dugar village and Jaula Baret village, some people have been reported missing. The district administration is taking all necessary steps to provide quick assistance and relocate affected people to safer places. Teams from NDRF, SDRF, police, and the revenue department are actively involved in relief and rescue efforts.

Meanwhile, in Chamoli district, excessive rainfall has blocked the national highway at multiple locations including Nandprayag, Kameda, Bhanerpani, Pagalnala, near Gulabkoti, and Chatwapipal. Teams have been sent to clear the roads. The administration has appealed to travellers not to set out on journeys and to follow police and administration updates.

In Uttarkashi district, Papad Gad in Bhatwari block is in spate, putting a Border Roads Organisation bridge at risk. The Gangotri highway has been hit by landslides at several locations. In Bhilangana block of Tehri district, water levels in the Bal Ganga and Dharma Ganga rivers are rising rapidly due to heavy rain. Landslides in the Nailchami area have caused major crop damage for farmers. The Ghansali-Tilwara road is closed near Jakhniyali due to a rockfall.

In the Kumaon region’s Bageshwar district, heavy rain has caused water levels in the Saryu and Gomti rivers to rise dangerously close to the danger mark. District officials have declared a holiday on Friday for all government, non-government, private schools, and anganwadi centres.

In Champawat district, continuous rainfall has caused major problems, and the Tanakpur-Pithoragarh National Highway is closed in several places due to landslides. The Chief Education Officer has ordered closure of schools from class 1 to 12 in the district.

Due to persistent heavy rain and bad weather in Pithoragarh, District Magistrate Vinod Goswami has declared holidays for government, non-government, private schools, and anganwadi centres.

The Alaknanda river is also in spate, and with its rising water level, there is a possibility of water entering the Dhari Devi temple. Pauri District Magistrate Swati S Bhadauria has sent relief and rescue teams to the site, while police are warning people living along the river banks through announcements. At Sirobagad on the Badrinath Highway, water from the Alaknanda river has blocked the highway and submerged shops.
