Rahul Sinha Accuses Mamata Banerjee of Inciting Violence in West Bengal

Kolkata, February 12: BJP leader Rahul Sinha has responded to the statements made by Humayun Kabir, a former TMC member. Sinha claims that Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee is attempting to incite violence and riots in the state.

Humayun Kabir stated that no force can stop the construction of the Babri Mosque, asserting that Allah is pleased. He urged those opposing the mosque’s construction to refrain from protests, suggesting they build temples or churches as per their faith. He emphasized that creating a mosque is his right.

In an interview, Sinha remarked that there cannot be a mosque in the name of Babri. He accused Kabir of acting under the direction of the TMC, alleging that there is an ongoing attempt to spread violence and riots in the state under the guise of the Babri Mosque. He expressed that after the SIR incident, there is no hope left for Banerjee to escape accountability. Sinha believes these actions are aimed at creating communal tension.

Sinha also stated that elections in Bengal will be held at the appropriate time, with the Election Commission ensuring fair and fear-free voting.

He referenced the violence in Beldanga, questioning why the TMC would oppose an NIA investigation into the incident. Sinha asked whom the TMC is trying to protect, suggesting that the party is involved in the Beldanga event. He criticized the TMC for seeking relief from the Supreme Court using public funds, noting that the court did not grant them any relief. Despite the Supreme Court‘s reprimand, Sinha claims the TMC has not learned its lesson.
